Since its incorporation in 1984, CMFC has played a pivotal role in providing
long term mortgage finance primarily to lower income homeowners in Barbados.
CLICO Mortgage & Finance Corporation (CMFC) was originally incorporated
in 1984 as the Caribbean Commercial Trust Company Ltd. The company is
registered under the Company's Act and operates under a license issued
by the Central Bank of Barbados in conformity with the provisions of the
Financial Institutions Act 1996-16.
On January 19th 1998, the company changed its name to CLICO Mortgage
& Finance Corporation to reflect the long term strategic objective of
becoming a more broad based financial services company better able to serve
our growing customer base.
CMFC is an institution that embraces conservative, risk
averse principles of banking dedicated ultimately to the preservation
of our client's assets.
CMFC is a member of the C.L. Financial Group which is easily one of the Caribbean's
strongest and most diversified group of companies with assets of more than
US$14 billion. C.L.Financial is headquartered in the Republic of Trinidad
& Tobago.
The group is active in all countries of the Caribbean
